Dispensary (Danbury only) during Covid-19
The Dispensary is OPEN and medication can be collected.
Due to the demand on the Dispensary during this time we have changed our opening times to collect medication. The times for collection are: Monday to Friday 8am - 1pm and 3pm - 6.30pm.
Could we please ask where possible that you allow 72 hours instead of the usual 48 hours for collection of prescriptions and medication.
Please use card payment only.
We are asking for patients to refrain from requesting inhalers, these will only be issued if it is for routine care or clinically necessary. If you feel you still need an inhaler and do not fall into this criteria you will put on to the telephone triage list to speak to a clinician.
In order to reduce wastage, stock piling and improve overall patient safety The Beacon Health Group will no longer accept repeat prescription requests from any community or online pharmacies. We would like patients to order their own medication directly from the surgery and would encourage patients to use online services or electronic repeat dispensing where possible.
For further information please speak to the dispensary team directly or visit your usual pharmacy for a letter about the changes.
How to order
These are the ways you can request your medication:

Repeat prescription requests should be left in the box provided at each site.
Please allow the surgery at least three working days to process your repeat prescriptions; we will not be able to dispense your prescription without 72 hours’ notice.
Please allow your designated pharmacy 3-4 days to fill your prescription.
The dispensary at Danbury is open:
Monday to Friday 08.00 - 13.00 and 15.00 - 18.30.

Please note the dispensary at Danbury is the point of contact for all three sites.
FOR SAFETY REASONS WE DO NOT TAKE PRESCRIPTION REQUESTS OVER THE TELEPHONE
Patients on repeat medication will be asked to see a doctor, nurse practitioner or practice nurse at least once a year to review these regular medications and notification should appear on your repeat slip.
Please ensure that you book an appropriate appointment to avoid unnecessary delays to further prescriptions.
